Chris Smith Elected as MCPS Director
Long-time PCAM Committee member Chris Smith has been elected as a director of MCPS. The Board consists of a maximum of 18 directors, of whom not more than 12 must be music publisher members and four writer members. Chris is one of the four writer-directors.
As well as contributing to policy making at MCPS, Chris will also sit on the joint board of the PRS-MCPS Alliance, making him only the second PCAM member to have a voice in shaping the policies of the two societies at this level.
This new appointment follows Chris’s recent election to the Board of BAC&S (the British Academy of Composers & Songwriters) as one of three Media Music directors.
