James Filippides

Bio James Filippides is a songwriter and producer based in South East London. Originating from a background of performing in bands, James found his first industry success after fronting the Indie-Pop/Rock group Safe to Swim in 2014. After a great run of major label attention, influential media support, touring, and a popular sync launching the 17th season of Made in Chelsea, James decided to move to London in 2019 to fine tune his skills in music production and audio engineering. Initially shadowing top engineers and producers at Battery Studios, Iguana Studios and Lightship 95, James set up his own operation once the pandemic hit in 2020. Since then, he has been writing and producing for up-and-coming artist’s catalogues, as well as building his portfolio providing composition and sound design for brands and films. James’s work has received international acclaim and support from Apple Music 1, AWAL / Sony Music Entertainment, Ford, E4’s Made in Chelsea, BBC Radio 6, Live Nation’s Ones to Watch, Radio X, and placements on Spotify New Music Friday editorial playlists.
