PCAM Mentorship Programme 2026 – Supporting Women & Gender-Expansive Music Producers and Composers

About the Programme

We’re delighted to announce that the PCAM Mentorship Programme is returning for 2026 — a free, six-month initiative designed to support female and gender-expansive music producers and composers as they navigate the media music industry.

We received an incredible response to the programme in 2025, and this year we are reaching out directly to that talented pool of applicants first. Applications are not open at this stage.

The programme pairs experienced mentors with emerging talent, offering six hours of mentorship over six months. Sessions are flexible in format and content — whether that’s creative guidance, industry insights, or personal support — tailored to what matters most to the mentee.

Our Goals

  • Uplift underrepresented voices in the music media industry
  • Build confidence and creative development in emerging talent
  • Foster a sense of community in what can often be an isolating career path
  • Create meaningful, lasting connections between mentors and mentees

PCAM Membership

As part of the programme, mentees will receive a free six-month PCAM membership, granting access to valuable resources including contract support, industry advice, and guidance on AI and music.

Programme Structure

Duration & Commitment

  • Six months, beginning April 2026
  • Minimum 6 hours total (30 minutes bi-weekly, 1 hour monthly, or as agreed between pairs)
  • Flexible one-on-one sessions, virtual or in-person as agreed

Suggested Session Themes

The structure of each mentorship is entirely up to the individuals involved. For those who would find it helpful, suggested themes include:

  • Getting to know each other and setting goals
  • Skills development — composition and production techniques
  • Industry insights — contracts, networking, AI in music, business strategies
  • Creative confidence and overcoming challenges
  • Career development and planning next steps
  • Portfolio building and reflection

Additional Support & Community

  • PCAM Membership: Six months of free access to industry resources, contract support, and expert guidance
  • Quarterly Check-ins: Optional virtual group sessions for mentees to share progress and challenges
  • Community Events: Webinars and Q&As with industry professionals
  • Alumni Network: Programme graduates are invited to join a mentorship alumni community for continued support

Together, we’re shaping a more inclusive and supportive future for music creators.
